something that made me very happy these couple of days - got myself a MLB.tv premium account for one month, we'll see how it goes for now! therefore, i spent a very enjoyable early early morning (1am-4am) watching a live Mariners game on the computer, against the Cleveland Indians, which we duly won 5-3, on a superb last inning catch by Ichiro that ended a game which otherwise would have lasted longer than tt. love it! i knew it was only a matter of time before Ichiro makes his Gold Glove-esque catches again.
this is how it looks on my computer - with twitter in the background so i can tweet my single-line game opinions and read what other #mariners fans have to say about each hit and throw and catch. love this the most about using twitter, really. but with school start in august, ill hope i still can watch the M's in hall. please, M's get into the postseason!
LOVE how Ichiro looks on the fullscreen on the mac! and ive been managing to get LIVE games, which is more than amazing cause i thought i wouldnt be able to. =D the quality has been great with the premium account, even though the connection can get a bit wonky once in a while.
OH YES,
one more thing to say - ive recently received a Amazon USD50 voucher for helping out in a survey - super. and i bought myself the benefit cosmetic case ive been wanting and wanting to get but keep stopping myself whenever i pass the benefit counter in raffles city. plus a CLINIQUE facial wash ive been wanting to try for ages ever since ive heard ppl saying great stuff about it. *excited
and i do really want a kindle2, imagine not having to buy physical books anymore! love it.

the All-Star Game today was exciting, as usual. Loved watching everyone being introduced, Obama throwing out the presidential pitch, the All-Stars among us presentation was moving, and Ichiro was amazing as usual. felix hernandez had a great inning as well, and so i guess it ends well for the M's at the ASG. now back to the second half of the season!
Saw a really miniscule clip of Ichiro getting Obama to sign a baseball and the suppressed excitement on his face. it was priceless! ヤベェ、オバマだ！was probably what he thought at that time, haha!
the beautiful Busch stadium where the ASG was played; amazingly grand at sundown. you can see the Gateway Arch in the left of the picture. <3 want to go!
and it's always great to see Ichiro having fun at the ASG, derek jeter's nice =)

well, the American League won it 4-3, and increased their winning streak to 13 games now.
OH found a clip of Ichiro's expression at the 00:24 mark, super funny! watch it before MLB takes it down. haha.
alrights today's going to be a picture entry - stuff that ive taken with the hp cam but keep forgetting to talk about or bring up. but first, lets get the wordy stuff out of the way.
1. got course registration down pat now - i probably make like two clicks and im done. its like, oh shat its 9.30am alr, *click *click done. then it becomes time to listen to fellow LMS-ers complaining that the other LMS-ers have too-fast fingers. but i do ave a nagging feeling that i would have to fight for french again though - probably get PA.. with luck, french 3 too bah. but no YANNICK. think its gg to be hard to readjust back to studying french again with a different instructor.
2. STELLAR '09 - Jane did a splendid job with the branding of this camp, the logos, the website - absolutely gorgeous. hope the camp turns out fine, though, we didnt have much time to prepare for it. but with the NYS people, you know its not gg to be a problem. ; ) and the take-up rate for the camp is slowly going up - hope it gets better in the last few days.
3. i feel proud of myself - i tried a jamie oliver recipe! albeit an easy one. sorry, just to digress, dont you just love words that look like they have less syllables than in actual fact? like [ALBEIT] and [HIATUS], just love how they sound when they are pronounced. >_< okay, back to JO - tried his sweetcorn recipe - delish, but like v ginger-y asian taste. haha. and i added prawns on my own accord - who just eats corn like tt? no self-respecting asian will do tt bah, i guess.
4. and also chocolate fudge from simin's recipe! wahh really was super duper easy to make, and made for great satisfaction and something sweet to tide through the day. but vance and mummy both asked if i wanted fudge, why didnt i just go out and buy fudge must make. -_-" didnt stop vance from eating them all up though.
5. saw the baby shirt in west mall. v cute, got teochew version summore. hmm. i wonder which company prints these tees, i really want to know what other designs they have. has anyone ever seen it outside of WM before? im sure they have made their rounds in the pasar malams bah. let me know.
6. and finally went to oomphatico's to see ricky and ah marc - both still exactly the same, it felt so comfortable sitting there and listening to ricky talk, or see ah marc working. it made me feel i was back in empire again =) love the food at oomph's as well, the decor - to die for. i want that table we sat at plus the 700-dollar chairs!
7. and no, i refuse to face up to that embarrassing loss for the M's today against the Orioles. but the MLB All-Star Game will happen next Wed on ESPN, and Ichiro is starting again - in RF, whoopee. =) cnt wait. always loved the All-Star Game and watching the players all interact. Now, if only Russell Branyan was competing in the HR Derby. am watching the mariners play against the yankees now, and we're at the top of the 2nd with CC Sabathia giving away hits like nobody's business.. but it seems like branyan is a little stuck. he got his fifth strikeout in a row since yesterday alr, dont go into a slump, branyan! =(

im so so glad that i was FINALLY able to watch a mariners game live on espn - and the Ms win it with conviction. okay, maybe not a no-run game from the yankees, but we had a couple of homers and ichiro played sexy. now if only he hadn't made tt error.
boston redsox at fenway park next. heavy roadtrip, man.
